Customer Terms & Conditions (UK)

1) Ordering Channels & Eligibility

  • Official channels: Conti Fish Bar app and website (preferred), in-store, and phone (01495 240088).
  • Third-party platforms: Orders via third-party apps (e.g., Uber Eats, Just Eat, Food Hub) are excluded from our loyalty programme and some promotions.
  • Individual orders only: Loyalty points and certain promotions apply to individual orders only, not combined or split bills.

2) Order Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellation window: You may cancel within 10 minutes of placing your order.
  • How to cancel: Call us in-store on 01495 240088 and we’ll action it.
  • After 10 minutes: If preparation is underway or completed, refunds may be reduced to reflect costs incurred.
  • Refund method & timing: Qualifying cancellations are refunded to the original payment method within 2–3 working business days.
  • Part-prepared/part-delivered orders: We may apply a partial refund to cover food already prepared or delivered.
  • Loyalty impact: If you cancel, any loyalty points earned on that order are forfeited. Cancelled orders do not earn points.
  • Your statutory rights: Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under UK consumer law.

3) Payments

  • New online order customer rule:
    • First order: Card payment only.
    • Future orders: Card or cash accepted.
  • Pricing: Delivery fees (£3.50), service charges, and tips (if any) are itemised separately at checkout.

4) Loyalty Points Programme

Available on app/website orders only. Not valid for phone, walk-in, or third-party app orders.

Earning Points

  • Rate: Earn 5% of the order subtotal (food & drink only) as points. Delivery fees and service charges do not earn points.
  • Per-order cap: Points are capped at £999 per single order.
  • Individual orders only: No combined receipts/orders.
  • Non-transferable: Points cannot be transferred between people or accounts.

Redeeming Points

  • Where: Redeem via the app/website only.
  • Spend thresholds: A minimum order value of £10 (excluding delivery fees) applies to redeem points. A maximum redeemable points value per order may also apply: 50% of order value (excluding delivery fees).
  • Exclusions: Cannot be redeemed on delivery fees, service charges, tips, phone orders, walk-ins, or third-party app orders.
  • No cash alternative: Points cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Expiry: Points expire after 365 days from the date earned.
  • Cancellations/Refunds: If an order is cancelled or refunded, the points from that order are removed. If points were used on a refunded order, any reinstatement is at our discretion and may be adjusted for any non-refundable elements.

Programme Changes

  • We may amend or withdraw the loyalty programme. If ownership changes, we’ll provide 6 weeks’ notice to redeem any remaining points before they expire.

5) Bring Your Own Bag (BYOB) for Takeaway

  • You’re welcome to bring your own bag.
  • Bags must be suitable, strong, and in excellent condition.
  • We’re not responsible for spills, damage, or loss caused by your own bag.

6) Promotions & Discounts

  • Promotions cannot be stacked unless stated.
  • Some offers exclude third-party platforms and/or delivery fees.
  • We may verify eligibility and refuse/withdraw promotions in cases of misuse.

7) Allergens & Dietary Information

  • Please check our allergen guide online or ask in-store before ordering.
  • Important: Our kitchen handles multiple allergens; cross-contamination risk cannot be eliminated.

8) Complaints & Customer Care

If something’s not right, contact us promptly with your order number and details:

We’ll investigate and aim to resolve it swiftly. Remedies may include remake, partial refund, or full refund as appropriate.

9) Collection and Delivery Times

Collection orders are ready in store within 30 minutes. We aim to provide the best fish and chips delivery service in the area at the time we quote. Our estimated time for delivery is 45 to 60 minutes Monday to Thursday, and 60 to 75 minutes on Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately, things don't always go to plan and factors such as high demand and traffic occasionally prevent us from achieving this.

11) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when changes apply.
